Chulog
In their large prayer hall at the centre of the village, the 15 monks of Songa performed the sgrol-ma-mnltra-bzhi chog ritual.
They perform this ritual once a month, usually on the 8th day for the Bodhisattva Drolma.
The prayer hall had recently been painted. Every wall and pillar was covered in brightly coloured motifs painstakingly painted over two years.
From the roof of Chulog, it was possible to see the monastery of Songa across the valley floor.
