At Onga, we encountered a single monk, most likely illiterate.

His colleagues had returned to their family homes to assist with the harvest, leaving him as guardian of the monastic buildings.

He told us that the monastery was finding it very difficult to make ends meet and that it was not possible for him to perform a vibrational ritual.
